Colleagues Drop Knowledge on Tracey McCormack
Tracey McCormack is a media and sales industry veteran with almost 30 years of experience in traditional and modern media platforms. Her demonstrated expertise spans many facets of the industry including sales strategy, modern selling techniques, omni-channel marketing, cross-platform video, and social selling to name a few.
Today Tracey leads and manages a team of sellers at Fox broadcasting company as the Sales Manager.
She was the former owner of McCormack Media Services, a modern media, sales, and professional skills training firm. Tracey’s firm successfully trained and advised industry leading clients such as Discovery Channel, HULU, NASCAR, NBC, 20th Century Fox, Time Warner Cable, Creative Artists Agency (CAA), Sony Pictures TV and many more. McCormack Media Services, though under new ownership, still operates today under the same name.
Tracey’s diverse media and sales background includes agency, station, and network experience across radio, local TV, national cable, cross-platform sales, Hispanic media, start-up networks, sales management, and executive leadership.
Her commitment to the future of the media industry is exemplified by her more than 25 years as an adjunct professor at UCLA Extension. She has taught more than 1,000 young media professionals in a variety of courses, including “Media Sales in a Cross-Platform World,” which is among the university’s largest and most popular classes.
Following her recognition by the university with the Distinguished Instructor Award, UCLA Extension announced the formation of the Tracey McCormack Scholarship Fund as an endowment to provide scholarships to students interested in the areas of media and marketing.
Tracey expanded her reach in educating the next generation of media sales leaders with new courses offered at the NYU School of Professional Studies.

FOX owns and operates a group of multi-platform media channels. FOX is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 28 stations in 17 markets and covering over 37% of U.S. television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Charlotte. Fox also owns station websites, weather and news apps, sports streaming platforms and connected TV platforms.
Tracey is responsible for leading and training the local, sales staff on cross platform sales.
More specifically, Tracey's team of salespeople sell large sports packages including NFL, MLB, Rams, Dodgers, NCAA, NHL, NASCAR, Post-Season Baseball, Super Bowl and World Cup. Tracey's role is to ensure the sellers are experts at presenting, coming up with creative ideas, and successfully selling these large packages.
Tracey and her co-managers are also responsible for leading, training and developing the sales staff. Managing their ability to solve problems, handle client issues and sell with proficiency.
